STEINER  OPU Technology for affordable OPU in Human INF

Components of autoclavable  OPU System:

  • Outer pipe: Needle guide
  • Middle pipe with male Luer  for SL Needle.
  • Narrow pipe: for aspiration

The  aim of this innovative technique was to replace 16 or 17gaugee DL-Needles with Sl Needles because they are expensive and have insufficient aspiration- and flushing effect.

Disp. Needle with Echo Tip has to be clicked at OOU System.

Forming ECHOTIP:

  • Insert needle at modifided WOLFCRAFT cutting device with mechanical carriage.
  • Rotating needle until reaching length of Echo Tip of  aprox. 10mm.
  • Cleaning needle in usual manner and autoclaving.                            

Tubing System:

  • DISPOSABLE
  • 1 disp. tubing, 100cm
  • 4Way Stop Cock , (standard 562535  red color ELCAM, Israel).
  • 1 disp. tubing 50cm
  • Autoclavable 
  • Silicone Stopper  for NUNC Vial or glas bottle glas  with 1 metallic female and 1 metallic mail Luer.

Opt. 1) :Assistance turns  4 Way Stop Cock 90°for flushing  and injects Flushing Medium via 3 Way Stop Cock.

Opt. 2)  Flushing with  Stop Cock Mechanism of Mechanical or STEINER COMBI PUMP:

  • 1 additional 5ocm tubing connecting 50cc Syringe at Warming Element of Pump with 4 Way Stop
  • Cock ( ELCAM) . Stop Cock clicked at STEINER PUMP.
  • Advantage: constant temperature of  Flushing Medium. ( Hand temperature approx, 27°! ) 
  • Minimizing hazard of contamination.
  • Physician can choose amount and velocity of flushing fluid.
